大阪教育大学 美術・音楽専攻でのゲストトーク講義

【母校でトークをしました！】
昨日は、寺島先生にお声がけいただき、母校である大阪教育大学の美術・音楽専攻の2回生に向けて、1時間のトークを行いました。
スペース運営やアーティストとしての活動についてお話ししました。大学院を2020年に修了してもうすぐ5年。学生と年齢が近いこともあり、地域に根ざした新しい取り組みをしている例として、お声がけいただきました。

成功体験だけを語っても面白くないと思い、「こんなことで困っている」「ここが大変だった」「でも、こういう工夫をしている」といった具体的な経験を交えながら、自分が2回生の頃に知りたかったことを中心にお話ししました。

「プレゼンの機会をたくさん持てば、変に上から目線のアドバイスをする人が減るよ！」 なんてことも、冗談交じりに話しました。

受講者の方々から質問をいただいたり、寺島先生のゼミの学生の皆さんに温かく迎えていただいたりして、とても嬉しい時間でした。ありがとうございます。

（ただ、せっかくの機会だったので、自分がプレゼンしている様子を写真に撮ってもらえばよかった…！）

【余談】

話がそれますが、写真は大阪教育大学の様子です。

じつは柏原キャンパスには、大型の野外彫刻をはじめ、多くの彫刻作品が点在しています。2004年の国立国際美術館の移転に伴い、2001年から2002年にかけて、国際的な作家の大型野外彫刻作品が移設されました。

また、本学の教員作品や、美術専攻の学生による卒業・修了制作作品、実習制作作品なども設置されており、私はこの環境がとても好きです！

[I gave a talk at my alma mater!】
Yesterday, we were invited by Professor Terashima to give a one-hour talk to second-year art and music majors at Osaka Kyoiku University, our alma mater.

I talked about space management and my activities as an artist. It has been almost 5 years since I completed my graduate school in 2020. Since I am close in age to the students, I was asked to be an example of a new initiative that is rooted in the community.

I thought it would not be interesting to talk only about success stories, so I focused on what I wanted to know when I was a sophomore, including specific experiences such as “I am having trouble with this,” “It was difficult here,” and "But I am trying to devise something like this.

If you have lots of opportunities to give presentations, there will be fewer people giving you weird, supercilious advice!" I jokingly said.

I was very happy to receive questions from the participants and a warm welcome from the students of Professor Terashima's seminar. Thank you very much.

[Digression.】

Off topic, but the photo is of Osaka Kyoiku University.

In fact, the Kashiwabara campus is dotted with many sculptures, including large outdoor sculptures, and with the relocation of the National Museum of Art, Osaka in 2004, large outdoor sculptures by international artists were relocated to the campus from 2001 to 2002.

I also love this environment because it is home to works by the university's faculty, as well as graduation and practicum projects by art majors!
